Thank you for visiting our website. Whether you’ve been a contributor to Support Our Aging Religious (SOAR!) for 20 years or less or just learning about SOAR, welcome.

Since 1986, SOAR has assisted Catholic religious congregations in the United States in their time of financial need, augmenting the efforts of the institutional Church.

In this our 20th Anniversary, I want to thank all of our donors on behalf of the aged and infirm religious who partnered with us to help them. Donations helped to purchase such items as therapeutic equipment and electric beds, to renovate space for handicapped accessibility, and to install nurse call and fire alarm and security systems.

In the fall of 2005, the board of directors established a special fund to bring relief in the aftermath of the terrible hurricanes to the religious congregations along the Gulf Coast.

None of this work would be possible without the generosity and compassion from friends like you. The gifts of many partners have ensured the personal security and safety of many older and infirm religious and their caregivers.

Charitable donations are truly foundational to the work of SOAR and we continue to be blessed with generous donors. There are a number of ways to give—large and small---that help to continue the work of SOAR! Contributions can be made on-line, by phone, or by mail. Credit Card Donations are welcomed at this site--they help to reduce fund-raising costs of printing and mailing. Through our direct mail campaign you will learn about some specific grant requests and have an opportunity to write your special intentions to be held in the prayers of the grant recipients. When you invest in SOAR, you help to provide a unified national voice on behalf of aged and infirm religious men and women. You help to maximize our resources in the award of grants. You inspire the religious congregations in need with hope for the future.
